Nature always finds a way

At times I wonder: In this anthropocentic civilization of ours, what do we take the natural world for? Humans have been trying to conquer, control and exploit the natural elements for ages. We are also concerned about the fragility of the natural world including its flora and fauna. But as Darwin pointed out, the fit survive - nay, find ways to survive.
This creeper was growing around the lamp post, using it as a support. Nature adapts, and how.
Recently I watched a film by BBC about urban wildlife. Very interesting video clips of birds thriving in industrial areas too.
