The Bhuleshwar temple is located between Solapur road and Saswad. An old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is located at a hilltop. Built of stone, it has beautifully carved pillars and walls depicting gods, goddesses and scenes from religious texts. On the stone terrace outside is a huge bell installed on an iron frame. Many of the younger visitors took delight in ringing it and then shutting their ears to the vast clang emanating from it.
Nearby is a banyan tree. Today it was ripe with red fruit. Mynas, bulbuls, sparrows, crows, parakeets and a golden oriole were busy tucking into this bounty.
